China has helped us safely transport green power from the north to S ã o Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, while our country (Brazil) has maintained energy security and massive infrastructure. China has won long-term overseas asset operation rights and global promotion of ultra-high voltage standards.

± 800kV ultra-high voltage direct current transmission, with a total length of 4623 kilometers for Phase I and Phase II. Stretching from the Amazon rainforest in the north to Rio de Janeiro in the southeast, it spans across 8 states and 81 cities in Brazil. It not only set a record for the longest transmission distance and largest capacity of ultra-high voltage direct current transmission project in the world at that time, but also accurately transmitted abundant hydropower in northern Brazil to 22 million Brazilian people, completely solving the century old problem of the disconnection between energy and load centers in China.
